Relaxation

"Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation, for when you come back to your work your judgment will be surer." - Leonardo daVinci

Who wants to argue with Leonardo? Stress is the one thing we all have in common. Hopefully not all at the same time! But there is something you can do about it, you just need to be carefully taught, and practice!
This section of the LEARN program will concentrate on relaxation and mindfulness techniques that you can use at your desk, at home, in a group, or in nature.

Being positive has an effect. Nurturing your mind to respond to difficult times by focusing on the positive may not solve the problem at hand, but it can help shape how you respond to it.
In future relaxation events we will highlight techniques that foster this approach. In the meantime check out these articles on the Power of Positivity.
Focus on Positivity
2021 Quarter 4 - RELAXATION
Just in time for the holiday season, the McMahon Wellness Committee is focusing on relaxation this quarter. Whether it's spending time with family and friends, reading a book, or taking a walk, there are many ways to decompress.
Please read on to LEARN about the available resources that may be available to you.
A GIFT FOR YOU!
We all could use some much-needed rest and relaxation so the McMahon Wellness committee put together some ideas on how to wind down!
Check out our suggestions here!
In support of your preferred relaxation activity, the committee would like to give a $40 Amazon gift card to all regular full-time and regular part-time employees to purchase an item that helps you relax. You can consider any of the ideas the Wellness Committee came up with in the above link or you can browse Amazon's site and find something else that will aid in your relaxation.
